For years natives of the Fayetteville, NC area knew the shortcut from Hope Mills Rd. to the Cross Creek Mall was thru Montclair. We turned off Raeford Rd and on to Brighton past the 28304 post office left on Belford and then right on Glensford. Soon you will be able to turn directly off of Raeford Rd or continue through on Hope Mills directly onto Glensford and through the established Montclair neighborhood and into the shopping hub of Fayetteville. It will be easy access to the new Fresh Market, Kohls, Carolina Ale House, Barnes and Nobles and of course the Cross Creek Mall. For those living in the Hope Mills area they will not have to travel on the busy and often congested Skibo Rd.
Residents of Montclair had complained for years about the constant traffic using their neighborhood as a cut through. Some residents on Glensford were up in arms during the construction period but now that the traffic circles are complete they have noticed that traffic is no longer flying by their homes as rates that exceed the posted speed limit. The traffic circles have slowed traffic down to a resonable and much safer speed. This is also comforting to the parents who are dropping their children off at Montclair Elementary or Berran Baptist School.
The traffic circle also enhances the esthetics of the area, giving it a modern fresh look.
The home owners of 576 Glensford who have their property for sale is pleased to see the construction almost completed because construction has hindered the sale of the home.
